A cloud passed over the sun. Elena pulled her blanket around her. Though it was worn and faded, she loved her blanket just as much as when it was new. She looked at the roses her grandmother had woven in it, and felt happy.

That night Elena looked out at the moonlight on the water. “I’m sorry about your blanket,“ Mario said.

Elena woke in the morning and looked out her window. There on the water she saw the sparkling flash of dolphins.
